Dregen
Dregen is a pioneering Swedish rock guitarist and songwriter, best known for his roles in the bands Backyard Babies and The Hellacopters. Growing up in Nässjö, Sweden, he co-founded Backyard Babies, a band that became a significant force in Scandinavian rock with its energetic blend of punk and glam. The band's debut album in 1994 garnered a loyal following and critical acclaim, setting the stage for a successful music career.
In addition to Backyard Babies, Dregen gained widespread recognition through his work with The Hellacopters, a band he co-founded with Nicke Andersson. With The Hellacopters, Dregen helped to shape the Swedish garage rock revival, earning a Swedish Grammy and touring internationally. After leaving The Hellacopters, he re-focused on Backyard Babies while also working with Finnish rock legend Michael Monroe, further expanding his influence and reach.
In 2013, Dregen released a solo album, showcasing his unique style and versatility. Beyond music, he has explored other creative avenues, including art and even launching his own beer. With recent reunions of The Hellacopters for tours, Dregen continues to leave his mark on the rock world, connecting with fans and remaining a dynamic figure in music and culture.
